About Physics Explained
Physics Explained is an independent explainer site. Each article takes one idea from mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, waves and optics, relativity or quantum physics and builds it up from first principles, with worked examples and the equations that govern it. The aim is accuracy over speed: claims are limited to well-established results, and numbers are checked before they are published.
This is an independent project and not a substitute for a textbook or a course. Mistakes happen, so corrections are welcome. If you spot an error in a formula, a unit, a figure or an explanation, please say so and the article will be fixed and its date updated.
